Hong Kong

After almost three months of traveling through less modern and under developed parts of Southeast Asia, I decided to make a move to a more modern place. Hong Kong. The idea spurred from someone I met while traveling who lives out there. I did my research and decided that heading to a developed and modern area would be a good vacation from my vacation/traveling. Especially since I’d have someone who knows the area to show me around!

I've been in Hong Kong for two weeks now and have spent my time exploring the city, seeing the sites (including Hong Kong Disneyland), celebrating Chinese New Year, and getting a taste for how people actually live here. The city is very dense and is the host for the largest concentration of skyscrapers in the world. Despite the very busy feel and density, the city is very manageable. Public transportation is the best I've ever seen. And contrary to my previous beliefs, it is not as expensive as I thought it would be. Or at least it’s not as expensive as California.
